Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, will produce the exclusive Georgia premiere of the five-time Tony Award-winning musical play, Peter and the Starcatcher. This delightful show filled with adventure will run February 25 through March 13, 2016 at the Theatre's home, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA. GET and Atlanta favorite Heidi Cline McKerley directs the show, which was written by Rick Elice and is based on the New York Times best-selling novel "Peter and the Starcatchers" by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. This production is generously sponsored by Edward Jones Investments, Paul Lang - Investment Advisor.

About Peter and the Starcatcher:

Close your eyes and imagine a magical evening of madcap fun with Peter and the Starcatcher! In this wickedly imaginative grown-up prequel to Peter Pan, we meet a poor orphan on the high seas who is simply called "Boy" because, in the absence of a mother and a father, he was never given a name. His lonely world is turned upside down when he meets Molly, the daughter of famous Starcatcher Lord Aster. Our heroine is on a mission to save the world and protect a treasure chest filled with magical star stuff from getting into the hands of the evil and greedy pirate, Black Stache. As they travel aboard the Neverland ship headed for a faraway land, Molly and Boy learn about love, friendship and forge an unbreakable bond.

You will marvel at the limitless possibilities of make-believe as 14 actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters in this swashbuckling adventure. Best for Ages 10 and up.

GET Artistic Director Robert Farley adds: "This high adventure Tony award-winner is showmanship and storytelling at its most magical. It truly represents the reason any of us ever stepped into a theatre for the very first time. Peter and the Starcatcher is without question one of the most clever and imaginative entertainment events I have ever encountered. This is evidenced in part by the large, first rate cast we have attracted, including Molly Coyne (returning to the Georgia Ensemble stage on the heals of her triumphant performance as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady), Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern Artistic Director Jeffrey Watkins, and from the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, now in his twelfth season as actor and Director of Marketing, Al Stilo."

The Cast:

Peter and the Starcatcher features an extraordinary cast of Atlanta performers, including many GET favorites and several who are new to our stage. Jeremiah Parker Hobbs (Rent at Actor's Express) makes his GET debut in the role of Boy; Molly Coyne (My Fair Lady at GET - Suzi Bass Award Nomination) plays Molly; Jeff McKerley (Hello Dolly at GET) plays Black Stache; and performing multiple roles are Steve Hudson (Charley's Aunt at GET); Brandon Partrick (Romeo and Juliet at GET); Nicholas Faircloth (Twelfth Night at Atlanta Shakespeare Company, GET debut); Al Stilo (The Explorers Club at Aurora, GET debut); Vinnie Mascola (Comedy of Errors at Atlanta Shakespeare Company, GET debut); Bryan Brendle (The Great Gatsby at GET); Spencer Stephens (The Boys Next Door at GET); Jonathan Horne (The Elephant Man at GET - Suzi Bass Award Nomination); Jeffrey Watkins (The Tempest at Atlanta Shakespeare Company, GET debut); Josh Brook (Tuck Everlasting at the Alliance); and Ptah Garvin (Calendar Girls at GET).
