Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET) has announced the national release of the CD Cast Recording of Glimpses of the Moon featuring the cast and musicians from the Theatre's 2011 production. The release is being celebrated with a private party on Saturday, October 27th.

In attendance at the event will be the lyricist and composer of the musical, Tajlei Levis and John Mercurio, along with the cast, musicians, GET Trustees, and Staff. GET has also invited Donors to the Theatre at a level of $500 and more to be a part of this exciting event.

About the Play:
Glimpses of the Moon is a sparkling romantic music and dance extravaganza that follows the jazzy whirl of New York high society in the "Roaring 20's." Popular but penniless Susy and her friend Nick devise a get-rich-quick scheme to marry and live off their wedding presents while they help one another look for suitable millionaires. The plan works perfectly … until they fall in love. Based on Edith Wharton's 1922 novel, this delightful Jazz Age romp asks the age-old question: marry for love … or for the love of money?

Georgia Ensemble Theatre's production was directed by Alan Kilpatrick, with musical direction by Ann-Carol Pence, and choreography by Ricardo Aponte (who is also directing GET's upcoming production of A Taffeta Christmas). The cast for the production, and for the CD, includes: Maxim Gukhman, Anna Kimmell, Mary Nye Bennett, Caitlin Smith, Brandon O'Dell, Googie Uterhardt, and musicians Jeff Herndon, John Freeman, Greg Armijo, and Mark Biering.

As a result of the success of GET's 2011 production, and the extraordinary talents of our cast and musicians, the creative team was excited about producing an original cast recording for the show with the GET company. This collaborative effort is a huge testament to the excellence brought by the entire GET organization to this new musical.

The CD is available for purchase at GET, and through cdbaby.com, amazon.com and iTunes.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre's 20th Anniversary continues with A Taffeta Christmas, running November 7-18, 2012. This will be followed by the world premiere of Swell Party, January 10-27, 2013; Sherlock Holmes and the Adventures of the Suicide Club, February 28-March 17, 2013; and Hello, Dolly!, April 11-28, 2013. Three and Four Play Subscription Packages are available by contacting the Theatre at 770-641-1260 or online at www.get.org.
