Gavin Creel and his songwriting partner Robbie Roth are set to appear at Symphony Space on December 7th for two all-acoustic shows highlighting some of Roth's original songs and some of Creel's Broadway favorites.

Gavin Creels' ascendancy to the starring role in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Hair includes a run in London in Mary Poppins, the Broadway revival of La Cage aux Folles and his Tony-nominated debut performance on Broadway in Thoroughly Modern Millie.  Other credits include A Light in the Piazza and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, both in California. The mid-westerner, heralding from Findlay, Ohio, toured the U.S. in Fame, The Musica and appeared in Sondheim's Bounce at the Kennedy Center and Goodman Theatre. With his early musical heroes Billy Joel, George Michael, and Harry Connick Jr in his ear, Creel began writing and performing his own pop music. His sound combines his love for pop music with the emotional energy of the theatre and he has played to sold-out crowds at Manhattan cabaret venues including Joe's Pub, Arlene's Grocery, The Fez, Feinstein's and Irving Plaza.Creel collaborated on GOODTIMENATION with Producer/Co-Writer, Robbie Roth.

Robbie Roth is an acclaimed songwriter from Toronto, Canada, who has had a great deal of success writing for stage, screen, and studio recordings. Roth is the composer and co-lyricist of Flashdance the Musical.

Tickets for this event cost $25 if purchased in advance, $30 the day of show, and are $20 for members of Symphony Space.  To purchase tickets visit www.symphonyspace.org. Shows start at 7pm and 9:30pm.
