GOLD RUSH Sweeps Key Demos on Friday

Discovery Channel continues to dominate Friday nights with the return of the popular series Gold Rush which owned the night as the #1 ad supported cable program on cable across key demos and the #2 program in all of television among Men 18-49 on Friday, Oct. 25. Discovery Channel was also the #1 network in All of Television among Men 18-49 on Friday night.

The two hour season premiere of Gold Rush from 9-11PM ET/PT earned a 2.05 HH/1.61 P25-54/2.31 M25-54 rating and delivered an average of 2.86 million total viewers P2+. Gold Rush was the #1 ad-supported cable program among Persons, Men and Women 25-54, and Persons and Men 18-49 delivery, no exclusions.

Additionally, Gold Rush was the #2 program in ALL OF TELEVISION among M18-49 delivery, beating such competition as CBS' Undercover Boss, Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods, FOX's MasterChef Junior and The Simpsons, NBC's Grimm, Dracula and Dateline and ABC's 20/20, Last Man Standing and The Neighbors.

Gold Rush and its pre-show, The Dirt, which aired at 8PM ET/PT and earned a 1.08 HH/0.75 P25-54 rating and delivered 1.47 million total viewers P2+, made Discovery Channel the #1 network in all of television, including both cable and broadcast, for Men 18-49 on Friday night.

An all new episode of Gold Rush will air Friday Nov. 1 at 9PM ET/PT.
