Critics are raving about Ginger & Rosa, the "exhilarating and heartbreaking" (Wall Street Journal) film that tells the emotional coming-of-age story of two best friends whose relationship is effected by the events of the 1960s. Led by a critically-acclaimed performance from Elle Fanning (Super 8, We Bought a Zoo) and the feature-length film debut of dazzling newcomer Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures), Ginger & Rosa arrives on DVD July 23 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

Released theatrically by A24, the film was also an official selection of the prestigious New York, Toronto and Telluride Film Festivals. Ginger & Rosa is written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sally Potter (Orlando, The Man Who Cried)andfeatures an outstanding ensemble cast that includes Golden Globewinner Annette Bening* (American Beauty, The Kids Are All Right), four-time Emmy nomineeChristina Hendricks (TV's "Mad Men," Drive), Oliver Platt (X-Men: First Class, Love and Other Drugs) and Alessandro Nivola (Junebug, Jurassic Park III).

Two teenage girls - Ginger (Fanning) and Rosa (Englert) - are inseparable; they play truant together, discuss religion, politics and hairstyles, and dream of lives bigger than their mothers' frustrated domesticity. But, as the Cold War meets the sexual revolution and the threat of nuclear holocaust escalates, the lifelong friendship of the two girls is shattered by the clash of desire and the determination to grow up.

The Ginger & Rosa DVD features deleted scenes, cast interviews, an audio commentary with Writer/Director Sally Potter and two featurettes going behind-the-scenes on the making of the film. The Ginger & Rosa DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.98.
