The cast and creators of the new musical Ghostlight, which will have an industry reading this December, have been asked to appear on GingerNewYork, which airs live every Friday on MNN at 2:00 PM EST. The special Ghostlight themed episode will air on Friday, November 15th. Guests include three of the show's stars including three-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello (Scandalous); Jennifer Hope Wills (The Phantom of the Opera); and Kimberly Faye Greenberg (One Night With Fanny Brice). The show's writer/directors Tim Realbuto and Matthew Martin are also scheduled to do an interview. Ghostlight will perform a medley of three songs, including the opening number which features the show's full ensemble and audience favorite He Laughs At My Jokes featuring Carolee Carmello.

Aside from Realbuto and Martin, Carmello, Wills and Greenberg are scheduled to do interviews as well.

According to backstage lore, the ghost of a Ziegfeld Follies star haunts the New Amsterdam Theatre. Ghostlight excavates the true story of Olive Thomas, a small-town girl who rises to headline alongside Fanny Brice. Seduced by the decadent world of the theatre, Olive stumbles into a secret affair, an unfulfilling Hollywood marriage, and a downward spiral into drugs and alcohol. An homage to Broadway's Golden Age, Ghostlight captures the glamorous and tragic lives of those who changed the face of the American musical forever. Ghostlight had a sold-out and extended run at the Signature Theatre as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2011. It was directed by Tim Realbuto and Matthew Martin, who also collaborated on the book, music and lyrics together.

The industry reading of the show will take place on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the famed New 42nd Street Studios, directed again by the creators Martin and Realbuto. Alison Holman (who co-wrote the musical Freedom's Song) will provide musical direction.

The highly-anticipated, starry evening will feature the previously mentioned Carolee Carmello as Billie Burke, Jennifer Hope Wills as Doris/Cora/Lois Long, Kimberly Faye Greenberg as Fanny Brice, as well as "That's So Raven" star Anneliese Van Der Pol as Olive Thomas, Tony Award nominee Robert Cuccioli as Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr., current Pippin star Rachel Bay Jones as Molly Cook, and Trevor McQueen as Jack Pickford. The Ghostlight ensemble will feature Angelia Golden; Nathan Jentink; Elliot Lane; Abigail Ludrof; Jessie MacBeth; Brad Rakushin; Ryan Rhue; Taryn Tonelli; Tim Wessel; and Emily Witte.
