Red, Hot and Blue, with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, is about a former manicurist ("Nails") Lauren Elaine Taylor, her square boyfriend (Bob) Christopher Ryan, and an ex-con ("Policy") Roger Rifkin. To raise funds for a charity, our cast create a national lottery that is a variation on the Cinderella Story – the winner's foot does not fit into a slipper - her tush (that of Tara Lynne Khaler) fits into a waffle iron impression. The charity is embraced by society types (Jessica George, Ben Gleichauf, Beth Kuhn), to benefit ex-cons like Jody Cook.

Graham Bailey, Tony Castellanos, Ashley Klanac, Rob Lorey, Megan Meyer, Molly Pope, Jeannie Schubitz, and Jacob L. Smith are either reporting on these happenings, trying to steal the proceeds or trying to re-arrest the felons. Songs Include: It's De-Lovely, Down in the Depths on the 90th Floor, A Little Skipper from Heaven Above, How'm I Ridin'?

The show runs now through October 14, 2012, directed by Thomas Sabella-Mills with musical director James Stenborg, at The Lion Theatre (410 West 42nd Street), presented by Musicals Tonight. Tickets: $25 from Box Office or TeleCharge 212-239-6200.
