F-plays Transfers to Galapagos Art Space

fuckplays, the series of sex-related plays by some up-and-coming playwrights, is transferring from the Ohio Theatre after a near sold-out run to the Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg (70 N. 6th St. between Wythe and Kent – L to Bedford). The show as handpicked by Galapagos Art Space artistic director Travis Chamberlain for the April "Evolve Series." The show will play the following schedule: Friday, April 6th at 7:30pm; Friday, April 13th at 7:30pm; Friday, April 20th at 7:30pm, and Friday, April 27th at 7:30pm.

The featured plays are as follows:

The Impotence of Being Ernest by Joshua Hill, directed by Julie Rossman

Marriage Play by Bekah Brunstetter, directed by Diana Basmajian

Arms and the Octopus by Casey Wimpee, directed by Isaac Byrne

Wood by Justin Cooper, directed by Steven Gillenwater

Sharpen My Dick by Greg Romero, directed by Cole Wimpee

Candy Room by William Charles Meny, directed by Thomas Caruso

The Saddest Thing in the History of the World by Kyle Jarrow, directed by Matthew Hancock

1.1-1.7 by Eric Sanders, directed by Stephen Brackett

The company of actors includes: Adam Belvo (Mad Forest), Mick Bleyer (Macbeth at Classical Theater of Harlem), Elliotte Crowell (I Have Loved Strangers by Anne Washburn), Jared Culverhouse (Working Man's Clothes) , John Flynn (Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater), Robert Funaro (five seasons on "The Sopranos"), Kaci Gober (Contemporary American Theatre Festival), Eboni Hogan, Julian James (Pulling Teeth), Elizabeth Kensek (Happy Hour), Michael Mason (Night), Erin McCarson (Happy Birthday/I'm Dead), Nell Mooney (the film 9'11'01), David Mitsch (The Taming of the Shrew with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company), Will Neuman (Azucar), Amy Lynn Stewart (Couchworks), Steven Strobel (Tartuffe), Mark Thornton (Horton Foote's The Habitation of Dragons), Lucy Walters (Flesh and the Desert), Molly Ward (Elliot Norton Award Nominee 2006, Three Sisters), Charlie Wilson (Happy Birthday, Wanda June), Cole Wimpee (Oceanside Parkway) and Alessandra Ziviani (Women and Wallace)."

Lighting design is by Maegan Kidd and Katie Stevens, and costume design is by Candice Thompson (Dread Awakening).
