The Peace Center has added four new music concerts to the Peace Concert Hall schedule.

Eddie Palmieri Latin Jazz Orchestra: Eddie at 80

Thursday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m.; $15-$45

Ten-time Grammy-winner Eddie Palmieri is a titan of Latin jazz. Blending his Puerto Rican heritage with American jazz and Afro-Caribbean flavor, he is one of the foremost Latin pianists of the last half-century. In 2013, Palmieri was recognized with the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Award.

Mavis Staples

Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; $25-$55

Grammy Award-winner and Kennedy Center Honoree Mavis Staples is living, breathing history, weaving herself into the very fabric of gospel, soul, folk, pop, R&B, blues, rock and hip hop over the last 60 years. She made a name for herself in the 1950s as part of The Staple Singers, went on to contribute to the freedom songs of the Civil Rights era, and later rose to pop radio stardom with hits like "I'll Take You There" and "Respect Yourself."

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; $15-$45

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a group of all-singing, all-strumming ukulele players that believes all genres of music are available for reinterpretation... as long as they are played on the ukulele. From Tchaikovsky to Nirvana, a concert by the Ukulele Orchestra is a virtuosic, twanging, foot-stomping obituary of rock-n-roll and melodious light entertainment featuring only the "bonsai guitar." By royal request, the orchestra proudly performed at a private 90th birthday party for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle.

The Hot Sardines

Thursday, May 17, 2018; $15-$45

The Hot Sardines return to the Peace Center. Channeling New York speakeasies, Parisian cabarets, and New Orleans jazz halls, The Hot Sardines make music come alive through their brassy horn arrangements, rollicking piano melodies, and vocals from a chanteuse who transports listeners to a different era.

Tickets for the newly added concerts may be purchased by calling 864.467.3000 or 800.888.7768, in person at the Peace Center Box Office or online at www.peacecenter.org. Tickets go on sale to Peacekeepers beginning now and go on sale to the public on Friday, June 30, at 10 a.m. Handling fees will apply to phone and online sales. For more information about the Peace Center and its upcoming events, visit www.peacecenter.org.

Events, dates, times, prices and performers are subject to change without notice.

Ticket buyers are reminded that the Peace Center box office - in person, by phone or online - is the only official retail ticket outlet for all performances at the Peace Center and is the only way to guarantee the best prices.
