Foundlings Theatre presents THE EIGHT REINDEER MONOLOGUES by Jeff Goode, directed by Cheryl Snodgrass, running Dec. 9 through Dec. 27th, with an opening slated for Wednesday, Dec 9th at 8pm.

In this wickedly dark comedy, scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of ungentlemanly conduct. As mass media descends upon the event, the other members of the team demand to have their say, and a horrific tale of corruption and perversion emerges, which seems to implicate everyone from the littlest elf to the tainted Saint himself. Director Cheryl Snodgrass, (one of the original producer/directors in 1994 -Madison WI- and The Reader's Critic's Choice in the 1996 Chicago remount) returns to this show's helm as THE EIGHT continues to be politically relevant even after 21 years. Not for the faint of heart or those easily offended. Or children.

Performances play Thur, Fri, & Sat at 8pm and Sun at 3pm. Special Nights: Dec 9, 21, 22 at 8PM and Dec. 26th at 3PM ** No Shows on December 24th and 25th **. All shows take place at City Lit, 1020 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Chicago, IL 60660. Tickets: $20 available online at foundlingstheatre.com and at the door.

Foundlings Theatre focuses on creating and producing theatrical presentations that push the boundaries of the human condition through strong artistic risks. Since our company has no home of its own and is therefore orphaned, we are called The Foundlings Theater. We focus on plays that deal with the exploration of relationships formed between people in exile or mourning. We are committed to the development of new works and new artists that wish to expand the current social dialogue with a fresh and unique perspective.
