Local band "Folkstrings" will be playing live at Redhouse Arts Center this Sunday, March 30th at 2pm. Tickets are $10 and will go to benefit the Redhouse Arts Center.

"Folkstrings," an acoustic folk group made up of Bill Hider, Mary Kester, Mike Kester, and Andre Revutsky, has been playing in the Central NY area since 1992. This particular performance, "Folkstrings and Friends" will feature guests and friends of the band.

The invited guests include: Jon Lessels - Subcat Studio recording engineer, gigging band member, former guitar instructor at the Redhouse Rock Camp. Amanda Rogers - singer/songwriter/pianist who recently finished a new CD at Subcat Studios. Sara Malavenda - a beautiful voice whom they have had the pleasure of backing up on two other occasions. Chris Bousquet - Chris first sat in with Folkstrings over 10 years ago when he first started with his guitar. He will do a few originals and some covers.

The Details:When: Sunday, March 30th Where: Redhouse Theater 201 S. West Street 315 362-2785 (www.theredhouse.org) Time: 2 pm to 4 pm ( two 45 minute sets with an intermission). Tickets: $10 - open seating - to benefit The Redhouse. The Café will be open for drinks and snacks.
