National Yiddish Theatre to Present SONGS OF CHANUKAH Concert in the Winter Garden This Weekend

Traditional holiday melodies, the jazziest klezmer tunes and musical surprises from renowned performers like vocalist Magda Fishman, vocalist and actress Rachel Yucht, virtuoso bouzouki player Avram Pengas, clarinetist Dimitry Zisl Slepovitch and several others will fill the air when the National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene kicks off New York City's Chanukah season with a free community-wide "Songs of Chanukah" concert this Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at 12:30pm in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place, 220 Vesey St.

The concert, sponsored by Arts Brookfield, will feature the holiday tunes in a variety of languages like Yiddish, English, Hebrew and Ladino with English supertitles, all under the direction of NYTF Artistic Director, pianist and conductor Zalman Mlotek.

A second free community wide concert will be performed on Wednesday, Dec. 17th in the Lefrak Recital Hall at Queens College, 65-30 Kissena Blvd, Queens, NY at 7:00pm.
