Miami, FL -- Florida Grand Opera commemorates Women's History Month with a discussion about the evolution of female roles in the world of opera. Kara Shay Thomson, international soprano, who will sing the title role in FGO's upcoming production of Tosca, will partake in this session of Community Conversations together with Dr. Julie Maykowski, Director of Artistic Administration.

This candid discussion is part of FGO's ongoing effort to enhance the opera experience within the local community. In this session Kara Shay shares how she balances life as a contemporary woman, singer, mother and wife and embodies the role of Tosca, a dramatic heroine who is entangled in an explosive love triangle.
