The inaugural presentation of a newly created French-language adaptation of the internationally celebrated stage version of the hit 1991 Disney film BEAUTY & THE BEAST premiered this weekend to generally favorable reviews, kicking off an extended run in the theater where Disney's other stage mega-hit, THE LION KING, ran for three years from 2007 to 2010 and became France's longest-running major musical to date.

The new French adaptation of BEAUTY & THE BEAST features lyrics by Nicolas Nebot and a book by Ludovic-Alexandre Vidal based on the original Disney film and subsequent 1994 stage adaptation featuring a score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and a book by Linda Woolverton.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST is currently booking now through July 31, 2014, at the Mogador Theatre in Paris.
