Firehouse Theatre will produce its 2nd annual Weekend of New Works on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2 featuring readings of new plays by Nedra Pezold Roberts, Kimberly Shelby-Szyszko, Augusto Federico Amador, and Bo Wilson, as well as monologues and one acts, panels, a cabaret, improv, music, food and drink.

This year's festival invokes the spirit of Dionysus, the Greek God of theatre and wine over a weekend of revelry surrounding the creation of new theatre. Last year we asked how to make theatre, and this year we ask how to make theatre NOW. By framing the festival as part of a conversation about how to make new work and create in the 21st century we seek to find answers (and more questions) to help the Richmond theatre scene continue to grow and prosper.

There is a $5 suggested donation at the door and/or a pot luck offering to Dionysus (fruit, bread, olives, wine, etc.). RSVP to info@firehousetheatre.org
