I am thrilled to announce that Joshua Harmon'sSignificant Other will receive its world premiere this spring at the Laura Pels Theatre directed by Trip Cullman. This is Josh's second production at Roundabout, following the phenomenal success of his first Roundabout production, Bad Jews, which premiered in the Roundabout Underground in 2012 and moved upstairs to the Pels in 2013, where it was honored with numerous Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Award nominations (as well as a Lortel win for Tracee Chimo).

Bad Jews has gone on to be the third-most-produced play of the 2014-2015 season across the U.S., and following an acclaimed UK premiere, the play will open in London's St. James Theatre later this month. Josh is a treasured member of the Roundabout family, and I am proud both to bring another of his plays to our audiences and to continue collaboration on his commission play, which begins workshops this year.

I am also excited to welcome director Trip Cullman to Roundabout. Trip is an incredible asset to the New York theater community. He is currently directing I'm Gonna Pray For You So Hard at Atlantic Theater Company, and his recent work includes Punk Rock (MCC), The Substance of Fire (Second Stage), Choir Boy (MTC), and Murder Ballad (MTC and Union Square Theater). He has directed regionally at the Old Globe, South Coast Rep, La Jolla Playhouse, and the Williamstown Theater Festival.

I am so looking forward to welcoming back Josh and to welcoming Trip for the final-and, I'm sure, fantastic-production of our 2014-2015 season.
