Fantasia, McEntire Join IDOL Finale Line-Up, Sparks to Sing B'Way Tune

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Neil Diamond, Reba McEntire, Fantasia-Mantasia, Nelly Furtado, Jordin Sparks, Gloria Gaynor, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan and John Fogerty will be among the many performers to appear on tonight's AMERICAN IDOL season finale. BWW had previously reported that Jennifer Holliday and Kristin Chenoweth will both perform duets with Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez.   

The season 11 finale will feature tribute performances to some of the celebrities who have passed away this year, including disco queen Donna Summers and Bee Gee's member Robin Gibb

The show will include a group performance with 70's music icons Gloria Gaynor, Thelma Houston,  Gladys Knight, Nelly Furtado, Sheila E., Jennifer Holliday and the Season 11 female contestants. In addition, Broadway's Kristin Chenoweth will perform the Summer-Streisand classic "Enough is Enough" with finalist Jessica Sanchez.

Other performances will include duets between John Fogerty and finalist Phillip Phillips, Reba McEntire and Skylar Laine and Fantasia-Mantasia singing with this season's second runner-up Joshua Ledet.

Sanchez and Dreamgirls star Jennifer Holliday will perform “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” and the male Idol contestants will sing a group number with Neil Diamond. Latin superstars Wisin and Yendel Wisin will salsa with Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, while Hollie Cavanagh will duet with Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks for a Broadway showtune.

Also performing on the star-studded show will be Rihanna and rock band Aerosmith.
