Latkes & Applesauce: A Family Hanukkah Musical Revue with the Poppy Seed Players plays Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 11 am at Merkin Concert Hall.

Musical Adventures with the Poppy Seed Players are the perfect way for families to explore and celebrate the great Jewish heritage! Merkin Concert Hall's rollicking annual Hanukkah revue features songs and scenes by some of New York's funniest writers, including a Hanukkah version of A Christmas Carol, a parody of "American Idol" and the rousing klezmer-inspired title tune.

The Poppy Seed Players are joined by the Kaufman Kids, a troupe of young performers from Kaufman Center's Lucy Moses School and Special Music School. The Poppy Seed Players include Jason Robinson, Kathryn Markey, Stephen Brennan, Christina Bianco, Jonathan Todd Ross, Martin Landry and Leslie Blumenthal.

Musical Adventures with the Poppy Seed Players continue with "A Poppy Seed Purim" on 3/4/12 and "Shlemiel Crooks: A Passover Musical" on 4/1/12.

Tickets ($20) at kaufman-center.org/mch or 212 501 3330.
