FOX to Adapt New Version of MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS with Ridley Scott and More

According to The Hollywood Reporter, FOX has nabbed the rights to Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS and will welcome Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon as producers.

Christie's 1934 novel followed Detective Hercule Poirot in his investigation of the murder of a passenger on a train leaving Istanbul. ORIENT EXPRESS was adapted into the 1974 film starring Albert Finney, which received six Oscar nominations; Ingrid Bergman won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Scott is currently working on Exodus for Fox and also has Prometheus 2, Potsdamer Platz and Emma's War up next. Kinberg is taking on the next in the X-men series, The Fantastic Four, Chappie, Cinderella and more, and Gordon tackling another movie in The Chronicles of Narnia franchise - The Silver Chair.
