On Wednesday, May 28, 2008, the company of the hit Broadway musical CHICAGO is pleased to welcome FOX 5 "Good Day New York" co-anchor Jodi Applegate to the cast for one performance only.

Applegate will "give 'em the old razzle dazzle" when she makes her Broadway stage debut at the 2 p.m. matinee performance of the Tony Award-winning hit at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 29th St.).  Applegate will appear as an ensemble member in select scenes throughout the show.

Applegate's complete CHICAGO experience - from singing, dancing and blocking rehearsals to wardrobe fittings, hair and makeup tests and more - will be chronicled on "Good Day New York."

"Good Day New York" airs in the tri-state area weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on FOX 5.

Tickets to CHICAGO are scaled at $59 - $111.50 (all ticket prices include a $1.50 facility fee) and are available by calling Telecharge.com at 212-239-6200.  Tickets may also be purchased in-person at the Ambassador Theatre Box Office (219 W. 49th St.). Regular Box Office hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and Noon to 7 p.m. Sundays.

Now celebrating eleven sinfully sizzling on the Great White Way, the record-breaking smash hit musical CHICAGO is currently the eighth longest-running production in Broadway history, as well as Broadway's longest-running musical revival...and it still shows no sign of ever slowing down!

CHICAGO stars Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, Nancy Lemenager as Velma Kelly, Jeff McCarthy as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Kecia Lewis-Evans as Matron "Mama" Morton.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, CHICAGO features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, CHICAGO has become a worldwide phenomenon. On December 5, 2007, the London production of CHICAGO celebrated its tenth year on the West End, where it continues to hold the record as the longest-running American musical in West End history. This fall, CHICAGO will launch its tenth U.S. National Tour.
