Everyday Inferno Theatre Co. is pleased to announce their return to Central Park for the third consecutive summer, presenting Pierre de Marivaux's dangerous comedy of love, sex, and jealousy. The Dispute is a rarely-seen "cruel masterpiece," a classical tour-de-force that has found the perfect setting in the urban jungle's very own Garden of Eden.

In an isolated wilderness, a strange experiment plays out... Four orphans, raised in captivity, are released into the wild to discover the wonders of love, friendship, and lust. Their choices will determine their fates, as onlookers seek the ultimate resolution to an age-old dispute: which sex was unfaithful first? The voyeuristic nature of the enterprise hints at the advent of reality television a century before it was invented.

Watch their hilariously awkward and sweetly heartbreaking encounters play out amidst the lush greenery of Central Park -- a spot tailor-made for Marivaux's sexy and subversive comedy. What better way to spend a summer evening, than to enjoy a classic tale of romance (and betrayal) in the great outdoors?"

THE DISPUTE is directed by Anais Koivisto, and produced by Katherine Sommer. The cast features: Lauren Bourke, David Federman (Court Theatre), Max Hanau, Paul Hinkes, Veronique Jeanmarie (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, The Kennedy Center, American Conservatory Theater), Antonio Jones, Liz Leimkuhler, Anthony Paglia, Serena Profaci and Aubrey Quinn.

EVERYDAY INFERNO THEATRE COMPANY is devoted to creating adventurous theatrical productions of both new and classic texts. They seek to exceed the conventional limitations of low-budget theatre by exploring nontraditional spaces, stagecraft, and storytelling. They are committed to developing a diverse audience by producing work that is large in scope while keeping their production costs (and ticket prices) at a minimum.

Performances run August 14-16, 21-23 at 6:30pm, and will be held at Summit Rock, Central Park, West Side between 81st and 85th Streets. For more information, or directions call (347) 291-1805 or visit us online at www.everydayinferno.com
