Evan, Berg Host HOLIDAY ROCKS! With Guests Zolli, Calvert & More 12/5

Leftfield Productions presents the annual All-Star Broadway Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 5th, 7:30PM, at The Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington, New York. The benefit concert will once again be hosted by long-time collaborators Rob Evan (Jekyll & Hyde, Les Miserables, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and Neil Berg (The Prince and the Pauper, 100 Years of Broadway, Grumpy Old Men, The 12). This year's installment, "HOLIDAY ROCKS!", will feature music from the Rock, Broadway and Holiday genres. Special guests scheduled to appear include Danny Zolli (Superstar, World Rock Symphony), Carter Calvert (Cats, Smokey Joe's), Robert DuSold (Les Miz, Momma Mia), Dustin Brayley (RENT, The Rock Tenor), Gina Milo (Les Miz, Little Shop), NaTasha Yvette Williams (The Color Purple, Gone with the Wind), and Leah Horowitz (Les Miz, Woman in White). Musical guests also featured are guitar player JD Valenteen (The Rock Tenor), drummer Roger Cohen (Menrva Realm) and violinist Susan Aquila (Led Zeppelin).

Rob Evan starred in the original Broadway cast of Jekyll & Hyde, playing the title roles for three years and over 1,000 performances worldwide. Rob also appeared in the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables on Broadway. In 2008, he recreated his performance in Atlanta's Fox Theater. Mr. Evan played the role of Kerchak in Disney's Tarzan at the Richard Rodgers Theater. Rob starred as the sadistic Orin Scrivello D.D.S. in Little Shop of Horrors with Joey Fatone from *NSYNC on Broadway. He also had the pleasure of singing the role of the Count von Krolock in Jim Steinman's Dance of the Vampires at the Minskoff Theater. Off-Broadway, Rob created the roles of The Dancin' Kid in Johnny Guitar and the hero Miles Hendon in The Prince and the Pauper.

As a vocalist and recording artist, Rob is a member of the multi platinum-selling rock band, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He has played in arenas across the country for up to 20,000 people. Most recently, Mr. Evan toured with Trans-Siberian Orchestra in the first ever production of their Rock Opera, Beethoven's Last Night, where he sang the role of Ludwig Von Beethoven. He was also lead vocalist for Jim Steinman's The Dream Engine and recently released the debut album for his new progressive rock band Menrva Realm, entitled Angels (Ectronia Records). Recordings include Trans-Siberian Orchestra's The Lost Christmas (Certified Platinum -Lava/Atlantic), Jekyll & Hyde: Resurrection (KOCH/Globalvision), and the latest release of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra that debuted at #5 on Billboard's Top 100, Nightcastle (currently certified Gold -Atlantic Records).

Neil Berg is the composer/lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway musical "The Prince and the Pauper," which ran for two years at the Lambs Theater in New York City. The New York Times raved "(Berg's) music soars on Angel's wings". The original cast CD is released internationally on Jay Records, sheet music published by Hal Leonard, and licensing by Samuel French Inc. Songs from this show are also featured with many other classic songs in the official Off-Broadway Songbook, published by Hal Leonard. Neil is currently the composer for the new Broadway-bound musical "Grumpy Old Men," based on the Warner Brothers movie classic starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, and scheduled to open in 2010/2011. The last developmental reading featured Academy Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham and TONY Award winner George Hearn, with Marilu Henner, Carole Kane, Ken Page and Vicki Lewis. Neil is currently collaborating with Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Robert Schenkkan on a new rock musical called "The 12". Lauderdale, Florida on April 1, 2010, produced by Adam Friedson

Neil's latest musical, "The Man Who Would Be King" with book and lyrics by DJ Salisbury, had a developmental reading/workshop at The Village Theater in Issaquah, WA, directed by Tony Award winner Brian Yorkey (Next To Normal). This follows a staged reading at the Rubicon Theater in CA. This show has been developed with dramaturgical guidance by Moises Kaufman of the Tetonic Theater Project. The fully-orchestrated CD recording, featuring Brian D'Arcy James, Marc Kudisch and Mandy Gonzalez, has recently been released, and can be purchased at www.neilberg.com.
