Eric Lewis, the modern day pop artist and musical revolutionary, piano iconoclast is a special guest at a workshop with youth from the All Stars Project on Tuesday, April 20th at 4:15 p.m. at the All Stars Project headquarters, 543 West 42nd Street (between 10th & 11th Avenue).

Eric Lewis, aka ELEW, is the winner of the 1996 Thelonius Monk International Piano Competition - the largest and most prestigious jazz competition in the world. Eric, an "innovator and unmatched performer" combines traditional jazz with elements of rock and pop, and has performed around the world, including performing at the White House.

Pam Lewis, Director of Youth Programs of the All Stars Project will lead the workshop and Eric will talk to the young people about his career and music.

The All Stars Project, 100 % privately-funded, is an after school development program that uses an innovative performance approach helping thousands of inner city young people to grow and develop. The All Stars gives young people from the poorest communities opportunities to work with the best professionals in theatre, business and education.
