Epic Theatre Company begins its 2015 - 2016 "Back to Basics" Season with a world premiere satire-These Ruthless Bitches, inspired by The Women by Clare Boothe Luce. These Ruthless Bitches takes the story of high-class society ladies backstabbing and betraying each other over brunch and sets it in a women's prison where the claws are sharper and the battles are bloodier, but all with class and sophistication, of course.

The play begins with Mary, the queen of her social circle, being thrown in jail to serve time along with most of her friends for crimes their husbands committed. When Mary finds out that her husband's mistress is going to be put in the same jail with her, she decides to put up a fight. Little does she realize the other woman isn't the only one aiming to take her down, and pretty soon, she's faced with figuring out which of her friends are more like foes.

These Ruthless Bitches is adapted by Epic Artistic Director Kevin Broccoli, co-directed by Broccoli and Tammy Brown (Epic's Three Sisters), and features Emily Lewis (Epic Theatre's The Other Place, This), MJ Daly (This, Mixed Magic Theatre's Fences), Hannah Lum (Epic's Three Sisters, Mixed Magic's The Diner and Mr. Stone), Kerry Giorgi (Epic's Compleat Female Stage Beauty, Orlando), and an ensemble cast of fabulous actresses in this sharp and saucy comedy of manners.
