It was announced today that one of Hollywood's leading stunt coordinators, two-time Emmy-winner, Peewee Piemonte (SouthLAnd), will be making his directorial debut with the Dystopian skateboarding 3D film Skate God, with Esti Ginzburg (Twelve) onboard as the female lead.

Skate God is an original story and screenplay by Alexander Garcia, a retired professional skateboarder now screenwriter and producer. This marks the first skateboarding action hero film with plans to launch a comic book series.

The story centers around a skateboarder in a Dystopian world who discovers he is a scion of a Greek god and is plunged into a battle with a clandestine society hell bent on overtaking humankind.

"A film like this is every action director's dream....a little Mad Max and a lot of Hellraiser! I look forward to putting the same actor driven action on this film as I do on SouthLAnd," says Peewee Piemonte.

Peewee Piemonte is the stunt coordinator on TNT's hit show SouthLAnd. Some of his many Stunt Coordinator television credits include: Numb3rs, Men of a Certain Age. The Defenders, The L Word, Mad Men, and Aaron Sorkin's mega hit show for HBO The Newsroom. Feature credits include: Barry Levinson's What Just Happened, Lauren Shuler Donner's Unaccompanied Minors (also 2nd Unit Director), and his newest project August: Osage County starring Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, and Ewan McGregor, produced by George Clooney and directed by John Wells.

The project is being produced under Alexander Garcia's Multi-Valence Productions banner alongside Impact Motion Pictures with a targeting date in late summer in New Mexico. Producers are Garcia, Stephen R. Hudis, Lindy S. Hudis, Louis Race, and Julie Michaels.
