Mariachi Los Camperos | $40

Winners of the Silvestre Vargas award, Mexico's highest musical honor for mariachi, Mariachi Los Camperos presents an unforgettable evening showcasing Mexico's most enduring traditional folk songs. This Grammy-winning ensemble is hailed for its innovative concerts and the visionary leadership of its founder Nati Cano.

Beppe Gambetta | $40

Supremely talented flatpicker and fingerstylist Beppe Gambetta makes his first appearance at the Emelin! He has ruled the European acoustic guitar world for decades and his trips across the Atlantic have made him equally well-known among acoustic aficionados, folkies and classical enthusiasts in the U.S.

The Klezmatics | $40

The Klezmatics have spent over 20 years blending klezmer steeped in Jewish tradition and spirituality with an eclectic array of musical influences from around the world. The only klezmer band to win a Grammy award, they create music that is wild, mystical, provocative, reflective and ecstatically danceable.

Perhaps the most adept and courageous choreographer in mainstream modern dance today, Pascal Rioult has a reputation for creating sensual, articulate, and exquisitely musical works. The Emelin's award-winning dance season begins with performances of Rioult's hauntingly beautiful pieces City, Wien and Views of the Fleeting World.

Racoco Productions performs a marvelous mash-up of the Cinderella and Jack and the Beanstalk stories through a kaleidoscope of theater, dance, visual art, video, clown techniques, 20 lbs of flour and 400 square feet of crochet. Delightfully family friendly, If the Shoe Fits creates a magical dream-world of fairytales and our own flights of fancy.

Ailey II | $48; $24 students
May 6 @ 8 pm
Ailey II is universally renowned for merging the spirit and energy of the country's best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today's most outstanding emerging choreographers.
