ImprovBoston is kicking off March with a one-night only performance from legendary comic Eddie Pepitone. IB is welcoming "The Bitter Buddha" Monday, March 4 at 9 p.m. on the Mainstage at ImprovBoston. Tickets cost $15 and are available online at www.improvboston.com. ImprovBoston is located at 40 Prospect Street.

Eddie Pepitone is an Apocalyptic-American (with a conscience) and a master of the dark art of comedy. Hailed as Don Rickles meets Eckhart Tolle, and known as "The Bitter Buddha," he is a force of nature onstage, switching between social rage and self-doubt. Pepitone has appeared on television on Community, Conan, and the Sarah Silverman Program. He was seen in opposite Will Ferrell in the feature film Old School.

Pepitone's UK debut at last year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe was lauded as "jaw-achingly hilarious" and a "tour-de-force." His album A Great Stillness debuted on Billboard's Comedy Top 10. He is in town for a screening of the new documentary, The Bitter Buddha, on Tuesday, March 5.

"Over the last couple years ImprovBoston has presented some of the most hard-working and hilarious local and touring comedians on the scene today," said Managing Director Zach Ward. "Absolutely everyone at ImprovBoston agrees -- we are honored to welcome Eddie Pepitone -- a veteran writer and performer who has inspired a generation of working comics."
