Givenik.com has just welcomed the 350th charity to its fold, it was announced by Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters. Earth Day New York is the most recent organization to benefit from the revolutionary way to go to Broadway (and save the world!). Earth Day New York promotes environmental awareness and solutions. It is a catalyst for ongoing education, action and change, simultaneously broadening the base of support and rekindling old commitments through highly participatory strategies.

Givenik.com is redefining theatergoers, one ticket at a time. The revolutionary service provides discounted theater tickets to dozens of Broadway and Off Broadway shows and then donates 5% of the ticket price to the charity of the ticket-buyer's choice. Give money, save money, see a show-it's a win-win-win situation.

Give·nik (n.) 1. a person whose passion for charity is matched only by his/her passion for discounted theater tickets; 2. a user of givenik.com

Theatergoers interested in becoming "giveniks" and charitable organizations and school groups interested in joining can simply go to www.givenik.com for more information.

Any certified non-profit organization can sign up to be a part of Givenik.com for free and develop a new, year-round fundraising mechanism. The other organizations that have joined Givenik.com since it launched in 2007, from national groups to local chapters, and from arts organizations to educational institutions, include the Museum for African Art, Broadway Impact, City Harvest, Human Rights Campaign, Dress for Success Worldwide, God's Love We Deliver, The Actors Fund, Central Park Conservancy, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, People for the American Way, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Creative Alternatives of New York, Manhattan Theatre Club, local chapters of the Susan G.
