Charing Cross Theatre is staging a new Dusty Springfield show -- DUSTY -- beginning May 25, according to the Daily Mail. The production will run through August 22, 2015, directed by Chris Cowey.

"Dusty herself is playing Dusty," producer Michael Linnit told the Mail, adding that Dusty will appear virtually via 3D laser technology, a body-double and images of the music icon. "Dusty walks and talks and sings. It's her voice, singing all the hits she's associated with."

On the creative team are writers Kim Weild and Jack Bradley and designer Phil Lindley.

This is the first Dusty stage show to take such an innovative approach to the showcasing the singer's life. Previous productions -- off-Broadway (FOREVER DUSTY), in the UK and in Australia (DUSTY - THE ORIGINAL POP DIVA) -- have failed to take off.

If the show is a success at Charing Cross, it could move on to the West End. Stay tuned!
