PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa

Through his involvement in marriage and family counseling, author Drummond Robinson says he has seen the aftermath that occurs when a man does not live by God's code of honor in his marriage, family and career. This issue compelled Robinson to address the issue of a man's honor in his new book, "Men of Honor", (published by WestBow Press).

"This book is about the life-changing commission of God to live by and uphold His code of honor as an all-consuming value in our lives and relationships," Robinson says.

Designed for personal study and use in men's groups, "Men of Honor" calls men to follow God's call and apply the virtue of honor to every aspect of their lives.

It begins with a story of young men in a Scottish regiment at the start of World War II. The regiment climbs a mountain and conquers an enemy gun encampment, at huge personal sacrifice. When asked why they were prepared to lay down their lives for the cause, one young man replied that it was for the honor of the regiment and their families back home.

"What would the world be like if we still held the value of honor so highly?" Robinson asks potential readers. "What could the potential benefit be upon marriage, family and even the financial status of people, organizations and nations?"

"Men of Honor" is designed to appeal to men in any life position who want to align themselves with God's destiny and purpose for their lives, which Robinson asserts, is to live a life of honor. He maintains that this is a book written for men that every woman should read.
