Dowling 'Razzle Dazzles' as Roxy in CHICAGO Starting 2/23, Bokhour Returns as Amos

Former CHICAGO cast member and Rialto favorite Bryn Dowling will return to the Broadway production as fame-hungry murderess Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning smash hit on Monday February 23rd production sources have revealed.

Dowling steps in to replace two-time Tony Award nominee Charlotte d'Amboise who was starring in the role of Roxie on Broadway, prior to headlining the upcoming engagement of the CHICAGO National Tour at Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts (February 26 - March 8).

Bryn Bryn Broadway credits include Chicago, Fosse and a celebrated run in The Producers.

Returning to the production as her 'hubby' Amos Hart on that same evening is former cast member Ray Bokhour who will put on the white gloves again as Roxie's "funny honey". Bokhour made his Broadway debut in the role of Amos Hart after playing the role on the National Tour.

March 2nd will find recent "Billy Flynn" Tony Award nominee Tom Hewitt return to the role of "that silver-tongued prince of the courtroom". He'll replace current star Tom Wopat until Wopat comes back to the Broadway production on March 23rd.

A Broadway regular, Tom Hewitt received Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for his unforgettable performance as Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. His other Broadway credits include Dracula, The Musical; The Boys form Syracuse; Disney's The Lion King (Scar); School for Scandal and The Sisters Rosenzweig. 

Now celebrating twelve glorious years of girls, glitz and glamour on the Great White Way, the razzle-dazzle hit CHICAGO is currently the second longest-running production currently playing on Broadway, as well as Broadway's longest-running musical revival...and it shows no sign of slowing down!

Currently playing at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.), CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, CHICAGO is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, and features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. CHICAGO features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kader and lyrics by Fred Ebb.

The production features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher and music direction by Leslie Stifelman.
