Dougray Scott, Aunjanue Ellis Join Cast of ABC's Drama Pilot QUANTICO

ABC's upcoming pilot QUANTICO has enlisted a pair of cast members.

Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that both Dougray Scott (HEMLOCK GROVE) and Aunjanue Ellis (THE HELP) have signed on for the drama from Josh Safran.

Per THR, QUANTICO follows "a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. As the drama intercuts between their hidden pasts and their present training, it also flashes-forward to the near future, where one of the recruits will turn out to be a sleeper terrorist responsible for the most devastating terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11."

The report also states that Ellis will play "Miranda, an extremely professional and tough woman who is the director of Quantico and oversees the training of a new group of recruits. Honest to the point of being harsh at?times, Miranda never allows her emotions to cloud her judgment, and is able to make difficult decisions - despite dealing with pressures at home. The character has fought hard to become the highest-ranking woman in the FBI, but there's only so far she's been able to go and that fuels her to push even further. In the meantime, she teams with her former partner, Liam O'Connor, now a staff counselor at Quantico, to sift out the best trainee recruits to become the next crop of FBI agents.

Scott will take on the role of O'Connor.

Ellis appeared in the 1995 Broadway revival of THE TEMPEST, and in January 2004 she was a featured player in actress ReGina Taylor's play, Drowning Crow, at the Manhattan Theatre Club, as well as the 2009 revival of JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE.

Ellis has appeared in numerous films including "Men of Honor" (2000), "The Caveman's Valentine" (2001), "Lovely & Amazing" (2001), "Undercover Brother" (2002; as Sistah Girl), "Ray" (2004; as Mary Ann Fisher), "Freedomland" (2006), and "Cover" (2007) and "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3" (2009).
