Discovery's GOLD RUSH Breaks Season Viewership Record

Discovery Channel's Gold Rush was #1 in ALL OF TELEVISION in Men and #1 in cable in total viewers and key demos on Friday Dec. 6. Discovery Channel was also the #1 network for Men in all of television on Friday.

GOLD RUSH at 9PM/ET earned a season-best 2.87 HH/2.29 P25-54/3.07 M25-54/2.43 M18-49/1.54 M18-34 rating and delivered an average of 4.22 million total viewers P2+. It was the #1 cable program on Friday among Total Viewers, Households, Persons and Men 25-54, Person and Men 18-49 and Men 18-34, no exclusions.

GOLD RUSH was also the #1 program in ALL OF TELEVISION, beating ABC's Shark Tank and every other program across the board on television among both Men 18-49 and 25-54 delivery, no exclusions. Other programs Gold Rush outperformed in men included ABC's 20/20, Last Man Standing and The Neighbors, NBC's Grimm, Dracula and Dateline Friday, CBS's Frosty the Snowman, Grammy Nomination Concert and Yes Virginia and FOX's Bones and Raising Hope.

BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE at 10 PM/ET on Friday was the #2 cable program, no exclusions, among both Men 25-54 and Men 18-49 delivery. It earned a 1.71 HH/1.38 P25-54 rating and delivered 2.5 million total viewers.

Driven by Gold Rush and Bering Sea Gold: Under the Ice Discovery Channel was the #1 network in ALL OF TELEVISION for Men. Discovery was also the #1 cable network among Households, Persons 18+, Persons and Men 25-54 and M18-49 delivery, no exclusions.

An all new episode of Gold Rush will air on Friday, Dec. 13 at 9PM, followed by the season premiere of Bering Sea Gold at 10PM.
