Out today, Dirty Heads' HOME: PHANTOMS OF SUMMER: THE ACOUSTIC SESSIONS, has charted in the Top 5 on iTunes' Alternative Charts in the US and Canada. In the US, the album came in at #3 in Top Alternative. ITunes US also saw the album come in at #14 in the Overall Top Albums chart. The album that DIFFUSER FM called "..the perfect album to soundtrack all the good times," has seen a flurry of activity recently to add to their great chart debut.

Dirty Heads fans and the people at Wahoo's Fish Tacos were extremely excited about the impending release and gathered in NYC at Five Seven Records' HQ and LA Wahoo's on Wilshire for an exclusive listening party yesterday. The fans were treated to Wahoo's Fish Tacos and a listen to the record as well as a personal note and hand-drawn lithograph from Jared, including some special gifts to thank them for their support. The band will be doing a SpreeCast with all their fans TODAY at 5pm Eastern/2pm Pacific that can be found at: http://www.spreecast.com/events/live-chat-with-the-dirty-heads-2 to thank even more of the faithful that are making this new release such a success.

Formed in 2003 out of Huntington Beach, CA, Dirty Heads combine an intriguing mix of hip-hop, reggae and alternative rock with a sunny California swagger. The band released their debut album, Any Port In A Storm in September of 2008, which features the hit track "Lay Me Down," a song that spent eleven weeks at #1 on the Billboard alternative chart, more than any single that year by any other artist. It is an RIAA certified gold single. Rolling Stone touted the 'Heads as one of the year's best new bands and they were among the first bands featured on YouTube's Raw Session. The band followed with their sophomore effort Cabin By The Sea last year, which saw three hit singles "Spread Too Thin," "Dance All Night," as well as the album's title track "Cabin By The Sea" which is currently Top 30 at alternative radio. The album featured a number of special guests including Matisyahu, KyMani Marley, and Del the Funky Homosapien; debuted on the Billboard Top 20 and peaking at #8 on iTunes overall music chart, #4 on iTunes Alternative chart and #3 on iTunes Independent chart. In addition to the immense fan devotion, press quickly fell in love with the album with Huffington Post declaring "Summer...officially has its soundtrack."
