Cultural commentator and journalist Lisa Birnbach is set to host a conversation with three of Broadway's most dynamic and influential directors... who happen to be women.

The event, "OUR TURN: Women Directing Broadway," with with Pam MacKinnon, Lynne Meadow, Susan Stroman, will take place at the 92nd Street Y on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.

Join artistic director of the Manhattan Theatre Club and award winner Lynne Meadow, Tony awrd winning director and choregrapher Susan Stroman and Pam MacKinnon, Tony Award and Drama Desk winner, to hear how they broke through the velvet curtain and became sought-after directors on Broadway, and elsewhere.

The "Great White Way" has historically been dominated by men. In 2004, only two new plays were directed by women. By 2013, women won both Tony awards for directing.

92nd Street Y's Buttenweiser Hall is located at 1395 Lexington Avenue at 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128. Call 212-415-5500 or visit www.92y.org/Event/Our-Turn-Women-Directing-Broadway for more information. Tickets from $32 (for those 35 and under, tickets are $15).
