World renown soprano and Metropolitan Opera standout Diana Damrau brings her eclectic repertoire to a special solo show at celebrated cabaret venue Le Poisson Rouge this month and the event is set to be livestreamed later this week.

Among the selections set to be performed in the show include opera favorites as well as many musical theatre gems, such as beloved selections from MY FAIR LADY, PORGY & BESS, MARY POPPINS and more.

Additionally, Damrau will also pay tribute to some classic movie musicals, as well, with songs from YENTL, THE WIZARD OF OZ and ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

The official description of Diana Damrau at Le Poisson Rouge is as follows: "Diana Damrau - lauded by the New York Times for her "lustrous agile coloratura soprano voice and charisma galore," will take a break from her run as Amina in the Metropolitan Opera's production of Bellini's La Sonnambula (March 14-April 1) for an intimate evening at (le) Poisson Rouge. Damrau will perform music from her new Erato album Forever (available March 11), featuring songs from operetta, musicals and the movies. Although she made her name on opera stages around the world, she calls Forever the 'soundtrack of her life,' saying: "this music shows a side of me that many people don't know yet... Every life has its own soundtrack and these are numbers that have had an impact on my life - and no doubt on other people's lives too. I have tried to gather together my own memories and the collective memories of my generation. I'm a child of my time ... and I'd also like to show the world that opera singers are not confined to one genre."
