Subscribers to Primary Stages will have the first opportunity to grab prime seats to Terrence McNally's Deuce, featuring Angela Lansbury in her highly anticipated Broadway return.

The play, which will star Tony Award-winners Lansbury (Mame, Sweeney Todd) and Marian Seldes (Dinner at Eight, A Delicate Balance), was originally slated for a run at Primary Stages in March of 2007.   Due to the starry casting, a Broadway run was opted for instead.

"Producing this play on Broadway is an exceptional opportunity for both Primary Stages and Terrence McNally, and we are thrilled to offer this incredibly special event to our subscribers," according to notes in one of the company's mailings.  Subscribers will be contacted with information on how to obtain subscription seats.

Deuce concerns "two retired women tennis players who once made up a championship doubles team."  The play will open on May 6th, 2007 at the Music Box Theatre after beginning previews in April. It will be produced by Scott Rudin, Stuart Thompson and Maberry Theatricals in association with Primary Stages.

Directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Blakemore (Copenhagen, Kiss Me, Kate), the play will mark Lansbury's first Broadway appearance in 23 years.

McNally's previous plays include Love! Valour! Compassion, Master Class and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.  He has also written the books to such musicals as The Full Monty and Ragtime.
