Dee Roscioli Returns to WICKED Tour as 'Elphaba,' Beginning 9/25

The company of the first North American tour of WICKED has announced the return of Dee Roscioli as Elphaba on Tuesday, September 25 in Las Vegas, NV.

Roscioli played the role of Elphaba on Broadway after closing the record-breaking Chicago produc­tion and performing the role in cities across the US. She holds the distinction of hav­ing played Elphaba in more performances than any other actress. Her cabaret, Decidedly Dee, sold out in New York and Chicago. Additional NY credits include The 24-Hour Musicals, Murder Ballad (Workshops at NYS&F and MTC), Dedalus Lounge (InterArt Theater Annex), Therapy Rocks (NYMF). National Tour: Cats (Grizabella).

Roscioli joins a cast that includes Patti Murin as Glinda, Kim Zimmer as Madame Morrible and Tom McGowan as The Wizard.

The company also features Justin Brill (Boq), Clifton Davis (Dr. Dillamond), Cliffton Hall (Fiyero), Demaree Hill (Nessarose) and Carla Stickler (Standby for Elphaba) with Lauren Boyd, Antonette Cohen, Rick Desloge, Luis Augusto Figueroa, Timothy A. Fitz-Gerald, Napoleon W. Gladney, Brenda Hamilton, Courtney Iventosch, Spencer Jones, Trevor Ryan Krahl, Renee Lawless-Orsini, Philip Dean Lightstone, Marissa Lupp, Michael Mahany, Kevin McMahon, Ashley Dawn Mortensen, Cassie Okenka, Christopher Russo, Adea Michelle Sessoms, Sarah Schenkkan, Pamela Shandrow, Ben Susak, Shanna VanDerwerker and Mikey Winslow.

WICKED, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, Disney’s Enchanted, Academy Award® winner for Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt) and book by Winnie Holzman (“My So Called Life,” “Once And Again” and “thirtysomething”), is based on the 1995 best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire. The musical is directed by two-time Tony® Award winner Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Vagina Monologues) and features musical staging by Tony® Award winner Wayne Cilento (Aida, The Who’s Tommy, How To Succeed…). WICKED, the untold story of the witches of Oz, is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.
