The best things about friends? They know all your faults and still love you. This October come meet the Dixie Swim Club. Five Southern women, whose friendships began on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every summer to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on the Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other's lives. The play takes place over four weekends spanning three decades. As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on each other to get through the challenges that life flings at them.

"This is a heart-warming play about enduring friendships filled with southern sass and charm," says director Sylvia Schnople. "Bring your best friends for a night of laughter and touching sentiment."

This delightful play by Jessie Jones, Nicolas Hope and Jamie Wooten is a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever. The production will run October 2-19 at Armour Street Theatre which recently installed new theatrical-style seating. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 704-892-7953 or online at davidsoncommunityplayers.org
