Folly Beach by David Lee Nelson makes its World Premiere, directed by Sharon Graci, at Pure Theatre.

Being Best Man can be stressful. Being Best Man days after you get divorced can lead to an existential crisis. The hilarious new comedy from PURE playwright-in-residence David Lee Nelson examines the ins and outs of marriage, divorce, and friendship as a group of friends converge on Folly Beach for their friend's second wedding.

David Lee Nelson (writer/performer) has created three solo shows The Elephant My Closet (Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Cincy Fringe Festival, Capitol City Fringe), Silence of Lucky (78th Street Theatre Lab, Piccolo Spoleto Festival), and Status Update (Out of the Loop Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 59E59 in NYC, Piccolo Spoleto Festival), and was named "Best Touring Production" of the 2010/2011 theatre season by the Dallas/Ft. Worth Critics. Other NYC acting: Stupid F**cking Bitch by Lucy Alibar (EST/Youngblood) and Binge by Thomas Ward (Slant Theatre Project). Regional acting: Keeping Watch (Piccolo Spoleto); Hamlet, Arms and the Man, Merry Wives of Windsor (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), Much Ado About Nothing (Warehouse Theatre).
