Daphne Rubin-Vega, Curtis Holbrook & More to Perform at CAP21's SONGS ON FIVE Concert

The CAP21 Theatre Company has announced the next benefit concert in the Concerts for CAP21 series- SONGS ON FIVE. Featuring new songs from top songwriters in New York City, the one-night engagement is November 21 at 8:00pm at the CAP21 Black Box Theatre (18 West 18th Street, 5th Floor). All proceeds will benefit CAP21. Tickets are $21 and include a post-concert wine networking party. Tickets are available through OvationTix, online at www.cap21.org, or at the door.

Writers and writing teams showcasing their new work include Will Aronson and Sam Salmond, Barbara Anselmi and Brian Hargrove, Rob Baumgartner, Brad Bauner and Alex Gemignani, Ryan Cunningham and Joshua Salzman, Chris Dimond and Michael Kooman, Michelle Elliott and Danny Larsen, Lance Horne, Anna K. Jacobs and Michael R. Jackson, Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, Robert Maddock and Michael R. Jackson, Daniel Maté, Mike Pettry, Ryan Scott Oliver, Shaina Taub, Will Van Dyke, and Adam Wachter.

Performances by Lauren Blackman (NEXT THING YOU KNOW), Heath Calvert (BLOODY, BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON), Carla Duren (IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU), Charles Franklin, Molly Hager (FAT CAMP), F. Michael Haynie (WE THE PEOPLE, F*CKING HIPSTERS), Curtis Holbrook (WEST SIDE STORY, XANADU), Emma Hunton (NEXT TO NORMAL, SPRING AWAKENING), Rebecca Naomi Jones (AMERICAN IDIOT, PASSING STRANGE), Laura Jordan (CRY BABY), Andrew Kober (HAIR), Jeff Kready (BILLY ELLIOT, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE), Alyse Alan Louis (MAMMA MIA!), Colin McAdoo (WE THE PEOPLE), Andy Mientus (SPRING AWAKENING), Cory Michael Smith (THE SHAGGS), Daphne Rubin-Vega (RENT), and Jared Weiss (THINGS TO RUIN) with more to be announced.

SONGS ON FIVE is directed by Tim Drucker. The concert has Musical Direction by Adam Wachter.

The CAP21 Theatre Company recently produced the highly acclaimed new Off-Broadway musical, SOUTHERN COMFORT. SOUTHERN COMFORT was a New York Times Critic Pick and Time Out New York Critics Pick.

The CAP21 Theatre Company was founded by Frank Ventura and Eliza Ventura in 1993. For nearly twenty years, The CAP21 Theatre Company has produced new musicals and new plays by emerging and established theatre writers.

All proceeds from SONGS ON FIVE will benefit CAP21.
