Kevin Emrick and Taylor S. Harris are pleased to announce the New York premier of THE GREENWOOD TREE, a new musical by Will Reynolds at NYMF. Signature Theatre's Matthew Gardiner directs the two-night concert at the 45th Street Theatre (354 West 45th Street) on September 30th at 8:00pm and October 2nd at 4:30pm.

Nikki Renée Daniels (Les Miserables, Aida), Jeremy Jordan (Rock of Ages), Martin Moran (Spamalot, Bells Are Ringing, Titanic) and Broadway newcomer Hunter Herdlicka headline a cast that features Theresa McCarthy (Titanic, Floyd Collins) and also includes Amy Justman (Company, White Christmas), Andres Quintero (Giant), Stephen Schellhardt (Altar Boyz - National Tour) and Mariand Torres (Giant). Andy Einhorn is Music Director.

THE GREENWOOD TREE is a new musical based on the poetry of Shakespeare with music and concept by Will Reynolds. Sparks fly when a brilliant young poet (Herdlicka) falls victim to Puck's (Moran) notorious flower and enters a love triangle with his songwriting best friend (Jordan) and a beautiful woman named Sylvia (Daniels). With the passion and poetry of Shakespeare's sonnets and a soaring, acoustic score, bask under THE GREENWOOD TREE and savor a modern love story laced with classical seduction.

Will Reynolds is an actor/composer-lyricist born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, now living in NYC. His musical THE SIXTH BOROUGH, written with Eric Price has been workshopped at the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma (dir. Nick Demos) and at the University of Indiana's Premier Musicals program. Their 15-minute musical ON THE CONTRARY! was commissioned by LaRed Music Theatre in Chicago for the 48-Hour Musicals Project. Will's work was also heard as a part of Sara Jean Ford's cabaret act "Built Ford Tough," first seen at Davenports in Chicago, and then at the Metropolitan Room in NYC. His songs have been performed at Birdland in NYC, the Signature Theatre Cabaret Series in DC, and he's been honored as the guest composer for both the NYC and Chicago "Monday Nights, New Voices," concerts. As a pianist and arranger, his work can be heard on Natalie Toro's self-titled album. Last summer Will was invited to participate in the Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project at Northwestern's American Musical Theatre Project, working with Craig Carnelia and Andrew Lippa. As an actor, Will toured North American with MAMMA MIA! and most recently starred as Huck Finn in BIG RIVER at Goodspeed. Will is a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. www.willreynoldsonline.com
