As Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae's new musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie opens at Sheffield Theatres, Wilson Way Records release a concept album of the musical with performances by John McCrea who plays Jamie, Josie Walker who plays Margaret and Gillespie Sells, with additional vocals by Sophie Ellis Bextor and Betty Boo. The album is available to buy from Sheffield Theatres and via iTunes.

Dan Gillespie Sells said today, "Our director Jonathan Butterell said to me when we started working on Everybody's Talking About Jamie: 'write a concept album'. So that's what I did. Producing this album was my way of arranging and honing the music for the show. It was a very important part of the process and we are delighted to share it with you."

'Out of the darkness,
Into the spotlight,
A teenage sensation is coming.'

Jamie New is 16. He's from Sheffield. And he has a secret. He doesn't quite fit in at school. His Dad's left home. He's about to sit his GCSEs. The future is terrifying. With his brilliant mum behind him, will Jamie be brave enough to stand up for who he really wants to be?

A coming-of-age story with a twist, with catchy new songs by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling Dan Gillespie Sells and writer Tom MacRae, this brand new musical will have everybody talking about Jamie for years to come.

The production runs at Sheffield Theatres from 8 to 25 February.
