The Fishbowl Collective (a new studio of NY-based performance artists) announces MY HERO, a concert blending Broadway and Rock featuring the music of indie pop-rock band, Almost Six Six. MY HERO will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 7 PM at XL Cabaret (512 W. 42nd Street.) There is a cover charge of $10 plus a two drink $20 minimum per person. Tickets can be reserved in advance by visiting www.xlcabaret.com.

The cast of MY HERO features Broadway and regional theatre veterans Dan Cary (Almost Six Six founding member), Erica Cenci (A Chorus Line, Cats national tours), Brigitte Choura (Ampersand: A Romeo & Juliet Love Story, Litmus), Craig Hanson (The 39 Steps, Midsummer..., Alabama Shakespeare Festival), George Psomas (South Pacific, LCT; Piece of my Heart, NYTW), Barrymore Award nominee Courtney Romano (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Media Theatre), Ashley Wallace (Grease!, Oliver and I Love a Piano national tours) and Elizabeth Wasser (Fate, Fury and Musical Theatre). The composers and lyricists for the evening's work are Cary, Jonathan Henry Swartz, and Joey Davis (all members of Almost Six Six.)

Cary, songwriter and lead vocalist of Almost Six Six says, "This night will showcase our music in a new theatrical light. We are in the process of adapting our music and our story to a full length musical, and this concert is the first step in our journey. Seven incredible theatre performers will join me in singing our music with their own individual styles." Almost Six Six has played numerous sold-out engagements in downtown Manhattan, including The Bitter End and Fontanas and was awarded first-place in NYC's MEANY Fest in 2011. Cary also says, "Amazing things can happen when you give a smart singer/actor a song to interpret, and I guarantee that this is a night you will not want to miss."

In 2011 songwriter and original Almost Six Six band member Jonathan Henry Swartz unfortunately lost his battle with cancer, leaving the band to continue his legacy through their music. In the words of Cary, "Jon will forever be... MY HERO". Musicians for the night include Almost Six Six band members Joey Davis (Piano), Dylan Kelehan (Bass), Mike Vanagas (Guitar), Scott Jacobi (Drums).

The concert is being produced by The Fishbowl Collective. MY HERO marks the premiere endeavor for the company dedicated to producing new work in NYC and for creating a strong network among like-minded artists. For more info, contact The Fishbowl Collective at TheFishbowlCollective@gmail.com.
