Downton Abbey's Allen Leech will join Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley in THE IMITATION GAME, an indie drama for Black Bear Pictures. Directed by Morten Tyldum, the film is based on the book Alan Turing: The Enigma.

The biopic follows Turing, who will be played by Cumberbatch, who was a British mathematician and cryptographer who used his skills to help the Allies near the end of World War II. After the war, Turing was prosecuted by the government for homosexuality and committed suicide. In the film, Knightley will play a conservative woman who sticks by Turing to the end.

Leech is set to co-star as a Scottish spy for the Soviets, who is working against Turing.

Leech continues his role as 'Tom Branson' in Downton Abbey; the fourth season will premiere in January 2014. His next feature project is Grand Piano, and past big screen credits include In Fear, The Sweeney, Rewind, From Time to Time, and the TV series Rome, Legend, Love Is the Drug and more.
