Cult sensation DINA MARTINA returns to New York with DINA MARTINA: FLAT & LACKING at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. After attaining cult status in her native town of Seattle and touring nationally, Martina's official New York debut in 2005 sold out in minutes. Her follow-up shows have left jaded audiences (including Alan Cumming, Michael Stipe, Whoopi Goldberg, John Waters, Matt Stone, John Cameron Mitchell, and Margaret Cho) stunned and clamoring for more.

DINA MARTINA: FLAT & LACKING, like all of Martina's surreal shows, is a nearly indescribable night of unique entertainment that assaults the senses like no other show. Once again, Dina offers a delightful blend of unequalled song, unnecessary dance, unattractive costumes, and unbelievable video. Perhaps the best description of Dina comes from a glowing review in Seattle's famed alternative weekly The Stranger: "Her voice sounds like a cat having an epileptic fit on a chalkboard, her body moves like two pigs fighting their way out of a sleeping bag, and her face looks like the collision of a Maybelline truck with a Shoney's buffet. But Dina redefines what it means to be a star."

DINA MARTINA has packed venues throughout Seattle as well as in Provincetown, Philadelphia, Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco and London. Martina has shared the bill with acts such as Modest Mouse, Built To Spill, Justin Bond, Nina Hagen and The Village People. She's the recipient of two GLAAD Media Award nominations for Best Off-Off-Broadway Show, two Footlight Awards from The Seattle Times (1999 & 2004), a 1997 nominee for a Seattle Stranger Fringe Theater Award for Best Solo Show, and a finalist for the 2007 Alpert Award.

DINA MARTINA: FLAT & LACKING runs tonight, September 19 (sold out), 20, 25, 26 & 27 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre inside West Bank Cafe (407 West 42 Street at 9th Avenue). Tickets are $25. A full dinner menu and a full bar are available; there is a $20 per person food/drink minimum. To purchase advance tickets call 212-352-3101 or visit www.SpinCycleNYC.com.
