BIG Theatre Company will present Destiny is Judd Nelson as part of the 18th annual New York International Fringe Festival, with performances on August 8-24. Humorous as it is poignant, absurd as it is profound, the play follows a group of New Yorkers searching for meaningful connections in a city where timing is everything. Tickets: $15-$18. For tickets visit www.FringeNYC.org

Written by Sarah Goncalves (Managing Director) and directed by Olivia Hartle (Artistic Director), Destiny is Judd Nelson introduces audience members to a range of familiar NYC personalities (bartenders, playwrights, subway riders, online daters, actors and so on) as it examines, challenges and pokes fun at the themes that bond these characters together - whether love, sex, fate or proximity on a train. As each character undergoes a journey of exploration, the plot skillfully and playfully unpacks thoughtful human queries of love and destiny.

The show features Joe Cantalupo, Dwayne Dixon, Lisa McGurn, Mike Wirsch, Sammi Cains, Sarah Misch, Kurt Cruz, Justin Phillips, Lindsay Arber, Theresa Burns and Allie Brown; stage managed and assistant directed by Alexa Peyton, with lighting design by Ben Danielowski, music by Kenny Kruper and costumes by Taylor Pedane.
