Dozens of storytelling shows take place at big and small theaters around the city, with new ones popping up every month! Horse Trade Theater Group is proud to present their Second Annual Gotham Storytelling Festival; collecting some of the best shows curated and produced by Heidi Grumelot, Peter Aguero, and Adam Wade.

The festival will have a six-night engagement November 1-6 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place). Tickets ($15/$12 students & seniors) are available online at www.horseTRADE.info or by calling Smarttix at 212-868-4444.

This Time

Originally called Six x Six, This Time is an open mic hosted by Cammi Climaco. Performers get six minutes to work on old stories, try out new ones, or resurrect stories from the garbage pile. Cammi is a storyteller and visual artist and co-host of the storytelling variety show Ask Me Stories. Featuring tales told by Kambri Crews, Christian Finnegan, and Mark Sam Rosenthal.

The Story Collider: Storms

Science surrounds us. Even when we don't notice it, science touches almost every part of our lives. At the Story Collider, we believe that everyone has a story about science-a story about how science made a difference, affected them, or changed them on a personal and emotional level. We find those stories and share them in live shows and on our podcast. Sometimes, it's even funny.

Have you ever wanted to tell stories or go-go dance with NYC's Hardest-Drinking Improvised Storytelling Rock Band? Now's your chance! The BTK Band will open up their stage for you to tell a story in three parts (3 minutes/2 minutes/2 minutes) while we improvise music behind it, turning your story into a song. If storytelling isn't your thing, wear some purty underthings and climb one of the boxes to frame the stage with your shimmy-shake. Bring The Kids. (Don't bring any kids.)
