Curtain Call Theatre, known predominantly for its unique brand of daringly intelligent musical theatre, continues to expand its offerings to include musical murder mystery Premiere of Murder written by local Murder Mystery extraordinaire Larry Brooks, this weekend, February 26-28 at 440 Peacock in St. Lucie West and April 2 at Ground Floor Farm's Banquet Hall in Downtown Stuart.

"When we lost Larry just over a year ago, his family left Curtain Call the scripts, hoping we'd be able to continue Larry's legacy of hilariously interactive musical murder mysteries," says Artistic Director Jake Sanders. Sanders explains his reasons for waiting to produce one of Brooks' over 40 original shows -- "I wanted to do them right," he continues. "Sometimes, dinner theatre tends to be a chicken and pasta dish and a hokey show. We didn't want that for these shows. We're truly working to create an immersive experience. Larry wrote this really witty parody of Sunset Boulevard -- and we're looking forward to doing it right for him."

At 440 Peacock, guests will enjoy a 4-Course Meal prepared by Chef Kevin Bennington with options including Hickory Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon with Béarnaise Sauce, Lightly Breaded Grouper with Pina Colada Sauce and Thinly Sliced Medallions of Spinach Stuffed Chicken with Lemon Caper Sauce. Guests at Ground Floor Farm will enjoy a 4-Course Meal prepared by Chef Anthony Polito, owner of B Merry Gastropub, The Drunken Doughnut and Mac & Cheese 101, known on the Treasure for his inventive menus. "We're looking forward to combining an amazing show with a chef inspired menu," says Polito. "Each show's menu is tailor made for the specific event to create a fully immersive dining experience like no other."

With Premiere of Murder the audience is transported to a red carpet premiere in the days of the first talking films with faded silent film star Norma Dementia looking to get back in the game hoping to land the lead role in Cecille B Deville's new picture, Eclipse Avenue. In order to keep the show fresh, Curtain Call has brought together a team of talented improv professionals led by director Clarissa Allie. "We really had to find a cast who would work well in this unique theatrical setting," says Allie, Curtain Call's operations coordinator. "Performing on stage is one thing, but going through the audience where they can really interact with you, the show is different every time. You have to stay on your toes."

This will mark one of Curtain Call's first shows at Ground Floor Farm's banquet hall, quickly following Drag Queen Bingo Bonanza Brunch March 29th. "I'd heard about Ground Floor Farm, but hadn't really checked it out yet. Anthony told me what a great space it was, and we went over and everything really connected. It's a great partnership there and really gives everything a nice tucked away feel," says Sanders, noting the bonus of plenty of available parking, "It's the only place in Downtown Stuart where we can show up on Sunday and not have to deal with a traffic jam. We're going to be trying out some really inventive brunch ideas down here -- we're looking to take the crowd who travels down to Clematis and give them something to do up here."

Premiere of Murder will Catering Revolution's 440 Peacock February 26th- 28th and Ground Floor Farm April 2 with a special cocktail hour from 6PM on dinner & the show beginning at 440 NW Peacock Blvd, Port St. Lucie- 34986 and 100 SE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd respectively. The show runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
