India Awaiting, a new play by Anne Marie Cummings, will play a limited engagement at The Samuel Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street on Theatre Row) from Saturday, October 15th through Sunday, November 6th; opening night is set for Sunday, October 23rd.

The show will be presented by Immediate Vision in association with Sudhir Vaishnav, Madhur Jaffrey and Aroon Shivdasani; Tyler Marchant will direct.  The show will star Maulik Pancholy (Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom, Aunt Dan and Lemon) and Margot White (Bobbi Boland, Pericles, The Seagull), as well as Naheed Khan, Robert Ian Mackenzie, Patricia Mauceri and Alok Tewari.  According to press notes, India Awaiting "is a modern, cross-cultural love story between a young Indian man, Nikhil, and a Spanish-American woman, Janet, who face the challenges of assimilation, cultural differences and the traditions of their families."

The show features set design by Narelle Sissons, costume design by Alina Amira, lighting design by Peter West, sound design by Bart Fasbender and original music by Deep Singh.

The pre-opening performance schedule (10/15 – 10/23) is as follows:  Monday- Friday at 8 PM, Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.  The post-opening schedule (10/24 – 11/6) is as follows:  Thursdays – Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.
